Senior Quality Engineer (Test Automation)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer (Test Automation) who brings strong hands-on expertise in end-to-end test automation, frameworks, and CI/CD-driven execution. This role requires someone who can not only deliver high-quality automation solutions across UI and API layers, but also guide teams, influence best practices, and drive quality engineering standards.
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract role (Possible extension), suited for a proactive professional who thrives in Agile environments, collaborates across teams, and takes ownership of quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and drive discussions on test strategy, frameworks, and automation solutions, supporting decision-making.
  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain end-to-end test automation (UI & API) aligned with user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on automation best practices.
  • Continuously improve and optimize test processes, frameworks, and coverage.
  • Take ownership of test documentation, ensuring clarity, consistency, and completeness.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, compliance, and governance practices.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and delivery teams to ensure alignment on goals and timelines.
  • Support and strengthen team collaboration and delivery efficiency in a hybrid working model.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing (manual + automation).
  • Strong understanding of: Integration, System, and Acceptance Testing
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks: Selenium / Cypress / Playwright
  • Strong experience in API testing: Postman / RestAssured
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python / Java / JavaScript / SQL
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools:  Jenkins / GitHub Actions / Spinnaker
  • Strong experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Exposure to AI-assisted testing: Test case generation, test data creation, and automation acceleration.

Good to have:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to mentor, influence, and guide teams.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across distributed and hybrid teams
