Overview

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and automating infrastructure to ensure high system reliability, performance, and scalability. This role involves managing servers, databases, and deployment pipelines while minimizing downtime and improving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux-based servers, ensuring system stability, security, and performance.
• Manage and optimize web servers (Apache and Nginx) to support high-performing applications.
• Administer and maintain databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, ensuring efficient data storage and scalability.
• Monitor system performance, server health, and application availability, taking proactive measures to prevent downtime.
• Design and implement performance optimization strategies for servers and applications.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployment, provisioning, and routine operations.
• Build, manage, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git and Jenkins.
• Perform regular backups, patching, and system updates with minimal disruption to services.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications.
• Document system configurations, processes, and workflows to support knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies in DevOps and infrastructure management.
• Implement and manage containerization and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform where applicable.

Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience managing Linux servers, web servers (Apache/Nginx), and databases in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and deployment automation.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Solid understanding of system performance tuning, scalability, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, along with security best practices.
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
• Familiarity with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools.
