Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and support production-grade applications using Java and Kotlin
• Translate business needs into technical solutions, including architecture, implementation, deployment, and ongoing production support
• Contribute to system design decisions with a strong understanding of modern backend architecture
• Develop and maintain APIs, microservices, and integration patterns with attention to scalability and reliability
• Work with PostgreSQL to design schemas, write SQL, tune queries, and troubleshoot database performance
• Participate in CI/CD pipeline creation and improvement, including build automation, testing, and release processes
• Monitor application health and help resolve production issues through root-cause analysis and performance optimization
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and opportunities to improve maintainability and operational stability
• Support secure, resilient, and efficient application delivery across the software development lifecycle

Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with both Java and Kotlin
• Experience designing and developing backend applications and services
• Solid understanding of application architecture, system design, and object-oriented programming
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and integration patterns
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, including relational design, SQL, indexing, and performance tuning
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, testing, and deployment workflows
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and improve scalability, resiliency, and observability
• Demonstrated ownership mindset and the ability to work independently with minimal technical direction

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of Python for automation, scripting, tooling, or supporting backend services
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and high-availability practices
• Background in performance optimization and production support
• Ability to break down ambiguous requirements into clear technical deliverables
• Familiarity with secure development practices and modern software delivery methods
