Join a high-impact Application Architecture & Reliability team as a DevOps Solution Architect, where you’ll help shape enterprise application delivery patterns, CI/CD architecture, and secure deployment practices across complex environments. This role is ideal for someone who can bridge application architecture and enterprise platform capabilities, with a strong focus on GitLab, Kubernetes/OpenShift, DevSecOps, and operational readiness.

Responsibilities

• Define application delivery and DevSecOps architecture patterns that support secure, scalable software releases.
• Translate enterprise platform standards and security controls into practical guidance for application teams.
• Design CI/CD approaches, reusable pipeline components, and release workflows aligned to application needs.
• Advise teams on repository structure, branching strategies, merge requests, approvals, artifacts, runners, and pipeline optimization.
• Guide containerized application deployment patterns for Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift environments.
• Support deployment strategies such as rolling, blue/green, canary, feature flags, and automated rollback.
• Establish patterns for infrastructure as code, configuration automation, and GitOps-based delivery where appropriate.
• Help embed security scanning and supply-chain protections into the software delivery lifecycle.
• Partner with platform, cybersecurity, cloud, and DevSecOps teams to identify gaps and influence delivery capabilities.
• Provide architecture reviews, reference patterns, and technical guidance to improve reliability, security, and developer experience.
• Promote operational readiness through validation, monitoring, logging, observability, and post-deployment verification.
• Support modernization efforts and help increase DevSecOps maturity across application teams.

Skills

• Strong background in DevOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering, software engineering, or cloud engineering with architecture or senior technical leadership experience.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD architecture, Git-based delivery workflows, and modern application release practices.
• Hands-on experience designing pipelines and automation patterns for enterprise application delivery.
• Solid knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, and application deployment concepts.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
• Ability to integrate automated testing, quality checks, and security controls into delivery pipelines.
• Working knowledge of identity, secrets, networking, application security, artifact repositories, container registries, and supply-chain concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, pipelines, infrastructure, and security tooling.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and influence technical decisions without direct ownership of the platforms.

Preferred Skills

• Deep experience with GitLab and GitLab CI/CD, including reusable components and runner architectures.
• Experience with Argo CD and GitOps delivery models.
• Familiarity with JFrog Artifactory and Xray.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or IBM Cloud.
• Experience with secrets management platforms such as HashiCorp Vault or similar tools.
• Knowledge of Nginx, Apache HTTPD, and Tomcat web application services.
• Understanding of API gateways, service mesh, container networking, and cloud-native security practices.
• Familiarity with SAST, DAST, SCA, SBOM, signing, provenance, and other supply-chain security practices.
• Awareness of SRE concepts such as SLIs, SLOs, observability, and production readiness.
• Experience in highly regulated, utility, energy, or critical infrastructure environments.
• Experience supporting build and deployment automation for Node.js, Python, .NET, and Java applications.
