Join a dynamic People Technology team supporting the design, configuration, and delivery of Workday Time & Absence solutions for international acquired populations. This contract opportunity is ideal for a hands-on Workday professional who enjoys building scalable solutions, partnering across HR and Payroll, and guiding projects from sandbox configuration through production support.
Responsibilities
- Gather statutory and company absence requirements by collaborating with HR, Payroll, and local People partners
- Design and configure Time Off Plans, Leave of Absence types, eligibility rules, accrual methods, and balance periods
- Build and support Workday Absence and Time Tracking solutions aligned with global naming and security standards
- Configure time tracking rules, validations, work schedules, calendars, time entry processes, approvals, and exception handling
- Own sandbox configuration, unit testing, and support for UAT defect resolution
- Reconcile balance loads and legacy data to ensure accuracy during migration activities
- Support production migration sequencing, hypercare, and documentation for handoff to the functional team
- Partner with stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and support reporting and audit needs related to Time & Absence
- Help evaluate Workday release updates and identify opportunities for feature adoption and process improvement
Skills
- At least 3 years of hands-on Workday Absence configuration experience
- Strong Workday Time Tracking experience and understanding of how absence interacts with payroll in a global tenant
- Experience configuring absence policies for multiple countries and statutory leave requirements
- Ability to translate business requirements into effective system design and configuration
- Experience supporting testing, defect resolution, and go-live readiness activities
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across HR, Payroll, IT, and People Technology teams
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and documentation
Preferred Skills
- Workday certification in Absence and/or Time Tracking
- Experience supporting M&A integration or acquired populations
- Familiarity with EMEA statutory leave requirements
- Background supporting complex accrual rules and time tracking integrations
- Experience with reporting, audit support, and release management in Workday
