We’re looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to help design and stand up a new Center of Excellence for Managed Service Provider excellence within a global technology organization. This is a highly visible builder role where you’ll create the operating model, standards, playbooks, and training needed to support a multi-provider environment and leave behind a strong foundation for the permanent team.
Responsibilities
- Define the purpose, scope, governance, and operating model for the new Center of Excellence.
- Establish meeting cadences and decision-making processes for standards, onboarding assets, and training materials.
- Develop practical SIAM standards, process playbooks, and operating procedures for retained teams and vendors.
- Create reusable templates, checklists, and reference materials that can be maintained over time.
- Design and deliver training for internal teams on SIAM principles, vendor governance expectations, and evidence standards.
- Build onboarding materials for new providers and team members to support consistent understanding and execution.
- Assess the current maturity of the MSP governance ecosystem and identify key capability gaps.
- Outline a practical maturity roadmap for the long-term team to build on after the engagement ends.
- Document all standards, processes, and training assets clearly so they can be owned and updated without external support.
- Support knowledge transfer and handoff activities as the permanent team comes into place.
Skills
- 10+ years of experience in consulting or enterprise roles focused on CoE design, enablement, or capability development.
- Strong background in governance standards, playbooks, and training for managed services or multi-vendor environments.
- Ability to create practical, easy-to-use materials that fit the organization’s current maturity level.
- Experience working independently, organizing work, and managing stakeholders across functions.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and instructional design skills.
- Experience delivering training to audiences with varied levels of experience.
- Ability to document work thoroughly and create assets that can be transitioned smoothly to an internal team.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Preferred Skills
- ITIL, PMP, or similar certifications.
- Experience conducting maturity assessments and building roadmap recommendations.
- Background supporting provider governance, finance, or data teams in a complex enterprise setting.
- Familiarity with SIAM concepts and managed service governance frameworks.
- Consulting-style delivery approach with a focus on clarity, structure, and clean handoff.
