Join a collaborative GIS team that turns complex spatial data into practical insights supporting field service and sales operations. In this hybrid role based in Saint Paul, MN, you will help improve territory planning, route optimization, and business decision-making through high-impact mapping, analysis, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze spatial and business data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that support operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain territory maps, reports, and data-driven tools that help field teams make informed decisions.
• Partner with field managers, sales leaders, and operations stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into GIS solutions.
• Support route and territory optimization efforts using spatial analysis and GIS modeling techniques.
• Clean, organize, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and usefulness in reporting and analysis.
• Develop and deliver clear findings, recommendations, and visuals that communicate complex GIS insights in a practical way.
• Collaborate with GIS team members and divisional partners to expand GIS capabilities and support department goals.
• Coach business partners on how to interpret and apply GIS outputs in day-to-day work.
• Contribute to ongoing GIS research, planning, and process improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in geography, planning, environmental science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of GIS experience using ESRI ArcGIS tools for data development, manipulation, modeling, and analysis.
• Strong background working with geographic and spatial methods, large datasets, and multiple data sources.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfort working independently, managing priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when reviewing data, reports, and deliverables.
• Experience collaborating through Microsoft Teams, including screen-sharing and virtual meetings.
• Ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable business recommendations.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt to changing business needs.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ESRI Network Analyst tools, including Vehicle Routing Problem.
• Background in geocoding and address matching.
• Experience applying GIS to territory design, route planning, business analysis, and decision support.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS Online, Enterprise, Portal, Experience Builder, dashboards, SQL Azure, or enterprise geodatabases.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience building reports or analytical tools.
• Experience working in advisory, reporting, or cross-functional business support environments.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
