JOB DESCRIPTION

Lead a dynamic Microsoft 365 team in a role that blends operational ownership with project delivery and Agile facilitation. This onsite opportunity in Washington, DC offers the chance to drive service improvements, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, and support enterprise collaboration tools that help keep business moving.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily stand-ups and help the team stay aligned on priorities and delivery goals
  • Manage a Kanban workflow, including board hygiene, work-in-progress limits, and continuous improvement
  • Identify and remove blockers that affect team productivity and delivery
  • Coach team members on Agile and Kanban practices to strengthen collaboration and efficiency
  • Plan and coordinate Microsoft 365-related projects from start to finish, keeping scope and timelines in focus
  • Develop schedules, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies to support successful delivery
  • Partner with stakeholders across IT and business teams to align priorities and communicate progress
  • Provide regular status updates and maintain clear project documentation and knowledge transfer
  • Oversee day-to-day operational support for Microsoft 365 services
  • Triage incoming requests and incidents, manage SLAs, and support service performance reporting
  • Coordinate maintenance windows, change activities, capacity planning, and resource allocation
  • Support initiatives across Microsoft 365 tools such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Copilot

Skills

  • 5–7 years of experience in IT project management, Scrum Master, or similar delivery leadership roles
  • Experience managing operational work and project work at the same time
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile practices, especially Kanban
  • Ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies and guide teams toward continuous improvement
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 environments and related enterprise collaboration tools
  • Solid stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and risk management capabilities
  • Experience using project management tools such as Jira or GitLab

Preferred Skills

  • Project management certification such as PMP or CAPM, or equivalent experience
  • ITIL Foundation v4 certification
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365 automation
  • Experience with Microsoft Graph API
  • Background supporting hybrid cloud environments
  • Experience with email security or mail flow tools such as Proofpoint
