Bring your project leadership expertise to a high-impact modernization initiative focused on transforming payments and deposit services. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to coordinate complex, cross-functional work that improves efficiency, reduces operational risk, and enhances client experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple concurrent workstreams from intake through delivery, keeping milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues on track.
- Oversee project governance and create clear status updates, performance metrics, and escalation materials for stakeholders and leadership.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, invoice tracking, and benefit realization across the initiative.
- Coordinate scope, requirements, resources, and interdependencies across operations, technology, risk, and vendor partners.
- Track schedule, cost, and delivery performance while proactively identifying and addressing risks and blockers.
- Partner with process owners and subject matter experts to prioritize opportunities and support business case development.
- Build and maintain integrated project plans, critical path milestones, and progress reporting tied to target outcomes.
- Support vendor engagement and contract-related activities while monitoring service expectations and deliverables.
- Lead communication planning and stakeholder engagement across leadership, delivery teams, and partner groups.
- Help ensure change control, documentation, and work delivery processes are followed consistently.
- Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven project or program management experience, ideally within financial services or banking operations.
- Working knowledge of payments and deposit services such as ACH, wire/RTP, check processing, lockbox, reconciliation, or related modernization efforts.
- Experience with project financial planning, tracking benefits, and managing budgets with accuracy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to tailor messages for executive audiences.
- Ability to coordinate multiple priorities, manage deadlines, and drive accountability across teams.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment and collaborating across business and technology functions.
Preferred Skills
- PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or Agile-related certification such as CSM or PSM.
- Experience supporting automation, RPA, or AI-enabled transformation initiatives.
- Background in commercial banking, payments, or other operational transformation programs.
- Experience with vendor management, business case development, or cost-benefit analysis.
- Familiarity with agile delivery practices and change management in a regulated environment.
