Join a hands-on fleet support role where you’ll help keep autonomous vehicle operations running smoothly through fast, thoughtful troubleshooting and cross-functional collaboration. This onsite position in San Francisco is a great fit for a technical problem solver who enjoys working with sensor systems, fleet data, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and improve troubleshooting documentation for technicians based on new findings and resolutions
  • Support hardware bring-up and validation for sensor components such as LiDAR, radar, and cameras
  • Develop diagnostic methods that improve troubleshooting efficiency, sensor calibration, and data quality
  • Review vehicle and fleet data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement
  • Partner with engineering teams to enhance tooling and strengthen issue detection capabilities
  • Help implement countermeasures that reduce repeat issues across the fleet
  • Define key data points needed to confirm issue resolution and measure effectiveness
  • Collaborate across teams to improve fleet performance, reliability, and operational uptime
  • Be available for occasional overtime with advance notice and limited travel within the U.S. as needed

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicle environments with a focus on perception systems and sensors
  • Working knowledge of low- and high-voltage circuits and safe troubleshooting practices
  • Familiarity with Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS)
  • Ability to understand schematics, electrical diagrams, connector end views, and pinouts
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software system architecture in an operations setting
  • Clear, organized documentation habits and a methodical approach to solving complex problems
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across technical and operational teams
  • Pass a background check

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with electric vehicle technology
  • Experience supporting vehicle troubleshooting remotely
  • Knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostic tools
  • Experience using Linux and Python for fleet-level data processing
  • Exposure to software that interfaces directly with hardware
  • Familiarity with networking, TCP, and socket programming
