JOB DESCRIPTION

Join a hands-on engineering role supporting vehicle operations in Los Angeles, where you’ll help keep a growing fleet running smoothly through real-time troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. This onsite position offers the chance to make a direct impact on fleet uptime, service efficiency, and the launch readiness of new operational locations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main technical contact for urgent fleet issues and support technicians with fast, effective problem resolution
  • Investigate vehicle and sensor-related issues by reviewing logs, analyzing data, and identifying root causes
  • Build, improve, and maintain troubleshooting documentation to help technicians work more efficiently
  • Support hardware bring-up and validation for new sensor components such as LiDAR, radar, and cameras
  • Develop diagnostic methods that improve troubleshooting speed, calibration accuracy, and data integrity
  • Review historical fleet and sensor data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement
  • Partner with engineering teams to enhance tools, improve issue detection, and implement long-term countermeasures
  • Define key data points needed to confirm fixes and measure the success of corrective actions
  • Collaborate across teams to support ongoing performance, reliability, and operational uptime
  • Be available for overtime when needed and travel occasionally within the U.S. to support operations

Skills

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicle environments with a focus on perception systems and sensors
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Strong understanding of low- and high-voltage circuits and safe troubleshooting practices
  • Experience with Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS)
  • Ability to understand hardware and software system architecture in an operational support setting
  • Skilled at reading schematics, electrical diagrams, connector end views, and pinouts
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex issues into actionable component-level solutions
  • Clear communicator who can build strong working relationships across teams
  • Must be able to pass a background check

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with electric vehicle technology
  • Background in remote vehicle troubleshooting or support
  • Knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostic tools
  • Familiarity with Linux and Python for fleet-level data processing
  • Experience working with software that interfaces with hardware
  • Exposure to networking, TCP, or socket programming
