We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to help drive the delivery of a short-term PMO initiative in Minneapolis, MN. In this role, you’ll lead project execution from planning through completion, keeping scope, schedule, budget, risks, and quality aligned with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Guide project deliverables from charter through implementation and transition to business operations
- Build and maintain a clear project plan, including tasks, dependencies, milestones, and work breakdown structure
- Partner with key stakeholders, sponsors, steering committees, and project teams to keep everyone informed and engaged
- Identify resource needs and coordinate with leadership to help ensure the right support is in place
- Track project progress, success measures, risks, issues, and action plans throughout the lifecycle
- Support decision-making by analyzing performance, evaluating trade-offs, and recommending effective solutions
- Manage corrective actions and change requests to help keep the project on track
- Prepare and share regular status updates and communications with internal and external partners
- Maintain project documentation, artifacts, and records in line with established methodology and tools
- Collaborate with business, vendor, technology, and PMO partners to align on objectives and deliverables
Skills
- Proven experience leading complex projects from planning through delivery
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing or ambiguous environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to keep stakeholders informed and engaged
- Attention to detail and a results-driven mindset
- Ability to work independently with limited direction while staying aligned with project goals
- Ability to coordinate across diverse teams and stakeholder groups effectively
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting PMO or executive-level project work
- Familiarity with CMMI methods
- Background in cost-benefit analysis and project performance tracking
- Experience working with steering committees and project sponsors
- Ability to coach and support team members while holding deliverables accountable
- Comfort working in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities
