Bring structure, clarity, and momentum to software initiatives that support compliance, documentation, and audit readiness in a highly collaborative environment. This role is ideal for an experienced project manager who enjoys coordinating cross-functional teams, driving follow-through, and keeping complex initiatives organized and on track.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
- Coordinate cross-functional work across software development, information security, privacy, quality, IT, product, and other stakeholders.
- Track compliance-related activities supporting SOC 2 and HIPAA readiness, including control deliverables, remediation items, evidence requests, owners, and due dates.
- Support internal and external audit preparation by keeping documentation organized, current, and easy to access.
- Maintain centralized trackers for project artifacts, approvals, records, procedures, and supporting evidence.
- Facilitate meetings, working sessions, reviews, and status updates, capturing decisions, action items, risks, and next steps.
- Monitor risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, and help drive mitigation and resolution efforts.
- Prepare clear status reports and progress updates for stakeholders and leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve tracking, documentation, reporting, and compliance workflows.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 7+ years of project management experience supporting cross-functional software, technology, security, quality, or compliance work.
- Experience creating and managing schedules, action logs, risk logs, status reports, and project documentation.
- Strong ability to organize complex information and keep multiple priorities moving forward.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Comfort working with stakeholders across different functions and levels of the organization.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, follow-through mindset.
- Proficiency with common project management, documentation, and collaboration tools.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a regulated environment, ideally with software as a medical device (SaMD).
- Background supporting SOC 2 audit readiness, evidence collection, control testing, or remediation.
- Experience contributing to HIPAA privacy and/or security compliance efforts.
- Experience in healthcare, medical device, life sciences, or another regulated industry.
- Familiarity with information security, privacy, software development lifecycle, or quality system processes.
- Experience managing audit documentation and compliance evidence repositories.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, SharePoint, or similar tools.
- PMP, Agile/Scrum, or similar certification is a plus.
