Take the lead in shaping and supporting warehouse management systems that keep distribution and fulfillment operations running smoothly across a growing network. This remote role is based in the Greenwood, IN area with periodic on-site visits and offers the opportunity to guide a team, drive continuous improvement, and support technology that directly impacts operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team responsible for warehouse management systems across multiple distribution, fulfillment, and market fulfillment sites.
- Provide day-to-day functional and technical guidance to team members and operations partners.
- Serve as the main connection between site operations and the corporate systems team.
- Own site-level system configurations and support alignment with operational needs and enterprise standards.
- Help resolve system issues by coordinating triage, root cause review, escalation, and follow-up with internal and external partners.
- Support enterprise initiatives and continuous improvement efforts that improve scalability, efficiency, and system performance.
- Partner with supply chain, industrial engineering, IT, and site leadership to implement solutions and standardize processes.
- Monitor inventory synchronization and help ensure system records match physical inventory.
- Support labor management system deployments and ongoing maintenance as needed.
- Analyze data, run reports, and write SQL queries to troubleshoot issues and support decision-making.
- Deliver training, onboarding, documentation, and process guides for users and site leaders.
- Participate in testing, pilots, site launches, system upgrades, and special projects.
- Represent the systems team in meetings, working groups, and planning sessions.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience, including experience leading remote or multi-site teams.
- 3+ years of experience with warehouse management systems and labor management systems, preferably Manhattan Associates.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, system support, and fulfillment or distribution environments.
- Advanced SQL skills for troubleshooting, reporting, and data analysis.
- Experience with user acceptance testing and regression testing.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Comfort working with issue tracking and project tools such as JIRA.
- Knowledge of SOX-related access and control practices.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and influence outcomes without direct authority.
- Strong communication, coaching, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting warehouse technology solutions for end users in a supply chain environment.
- Background in warehouse support, systems administration, or process improvement.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement training or certification.
- Experience with new site launches, technology integrations, or system upgrades.
- Familiarity with building documentation, knowledge bases, and training materials.
- Ability to work independently while staying closely aligned with cross-functional partners.
