Join a fast-paced team building the communications systems that support next-generation autonomous vehicle technology. This onsite Technical Program Manager role in Foster City offers the opportunity to lead cross-functional work across hardware, software, vehicle integration, and program management for a 6-month engagement.
Responsibilities
- Drive planning and execution for telematics-related programs, translating milestones into clear roadmaps, schedules, and deliverables
- Partner with engineering, product, strategy, and program stakeholders to align priorities and keep work moving forward
- Track progress against checkpoints, milestones, and gates while surfacing risks, dependencies, and issues early
- Coordinate resource planning and help ensure teams are aligned on expectations for each phase of the program
- Create concise status reporting that communicates accomplishments, blockers, risks, and next steps to key stakeholders
- Support cross-functional decision-making and help drive open items to resolution
- Keep teams focused by identifying obstacles and helping reduce unnecessary distractions
- Work across a complex technical environment involving vehicle communications and multiple radio technologies
Skills
- 6+ years of experience leading engineering teams and/or managing complex technical programs
- Background in program management with a proven ability to coordinate cross-functional hardware projects
- Experience working with RF technologies such as LTE, 5G, WiFi, GNSS, or similar systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead by influence and build trusted relationships
- Hands-on experience with project management and reporting tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, or Confluence
- BS or MS degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Skills
- Experience in highly regulated industries such as automotive or aerospace
- Background spanning both hardware and software development initiatives
- Experience guiding projects from concept through production
- Comfort working with suppliers and external partners
- Ability to adapt quickly in a collaborative, fast-moving environment
