We’re looking for a skilled Sr. IT Project Lead to support third-party cybersecurity risk management efforts on a 4-month engagement. This role is ideal for someone who can confidently lead risk assessments, coordinate remediation activities, and help strengthen security controls across internal teams and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Conduct third-party cybersecurity risk assessments and reassessments in alignment with established procedures.
- Lead the coordination of assessment activities, including follow-up on findings and remediation plans.
- Partner with third parties and internal business teams to help ensure control gaps are addressed by required deadlines.
- Support the management of risk-related issues through clear communication, organization, and proactive tracking.
- Contribute subject matter expertise and best-practice guidance within the working group.
Skills
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, risk management, IT project leadership, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of third-party risk assessment practices and remediation tracking.
- Experience working with OneTrust or similar risk management tools.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- One of the following preferred credentials: CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience supporting third-party cybersecurity risk programs.
- Background in security-focused project coordination or governance activities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across business units and external partners.
- Experience sharing knowledge and contributing to team best practices.
