Join a healthcare technology team building reliable, scalable machine learning solutions that support real-world clinical workflows. This role is focused on strengthening the pipelines, infrastructure, and deployment processes that help AI products perform consistently, securely, and efficiently in production.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support machine learning development, testing, version control, and deployment.
- Deploy ML models as APIs and microservices with attention to performance, stability, and latency.
- Set up basic monitoring to help track model behavior, data drift, and system health in production.
- Develop and improve ETL workflows that transform healthcare data into clean, usable datasets for training and inference.
- Support the creation and upkeep of feature stores and data layers that keep training and production environments aligned.
- Partner with backend teams to integrate ML outputs into core healthcare applications.
- Write clear, maintainable Python code and contribute to code reviews and engineering best practices.
- Use Docker and Kubernetes to package and orchestrate ML workloads across environments.
- Follow established security and compliance practices for healthcare data and deployments.
Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in software engineering or data engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience working with machine learning systems in production environments.
- Strong Python skills and working knowledge of SQL.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with Docker and containerized application workflows.
- Familiarity with ML tools and libraries such as PyTorch or Scikit-learn.
- Experience using MLOps tools or workflow platforms such as Airflow, Prefect, BentoML, or Kubeflow.
- Working knowledge of data processing tools such as Pandas, Spark, or dbt.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with large language models or frameworks such as LangChain.
- Background in a regulated industry such as healthcare or finance.
- Understanding of API design and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with compiled languages such as Go or Java.
- Experience working with healthcare data formats such as FHIR or HL7.
- Strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and a practical approach to solving production challenges.
