Responsibilities

• Integrate a third-party identity platform into custom web applications using SDKs, APIs, hosted components, and authentication services.
• Build reusable front-end components, libraries, hooks, and integration patterns that can be shared across multiple applications.
• Implement authentication and authorization flows using standards such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, and PKCE.
• Connect identity workflows with routing, state management, backend services, and session handling approaches.
• Help ensure authentication experiences are secure, responsive, accessible, well-tested, and aligned with branding and usability standards.
• Partner with architecture, security, compliance, UX, and vendor teams to resolve integration requirements and implementation questions.
• Create and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for identity-related functionality.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues across browser, application, network, API, and vendor-platform boundaries.
• Support logging, telemetry, and monitoring efforts to track authentication performance and user experience.
• Contribute to code reviews, sprint planning, technical documentation, production readiness, phased releases, and post-launch improvements.

Skills

• 3 to 5 years of professional front-end development experience.
• Hands-on experience building production web applications with React and TypeScript.
• Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs, SDKs, and backend services.
• Working knowledge of authentication and authorization concepts, including access tokens, ID tokens, refresh tokens, cookies, and browser sessions.
• Experience implementing secure login and access flows in single-page or server-rendered applications.
• Strong understanding of browser security topics such as CORS, CSP, XSS, CSRF, secure cookies, and browser storage risks.
• Experience with testing tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Comfort working with source control, pull requests, CI/CD pipelines, and automated quality checks.
• Ability to diagnose issues using browser dev tools, logs, API traces, and monitoring tools.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers, security professionals, product teams, designers, and vendors.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating a commercial identity platform such as Ping Identity, Okta/Auth0, Microsoft Entra External ID, ForgeRock, Transmit Security, or a similar solution.
• Background in customer identity and access management, workforce identity, or business-to-business identity solutions.
• Experience building shared component libraries, design-system components, or reusable platform capabilities.
• Knowledge of role-based or attribute-based access control models.
• Familiarity with identity federation, social login, step-up authentication, adaptive authentication, or risk-based authentication.
• Exposure to Next.js, Node.js, GraphQL, micro-frontends, or module federation.
• Experience in cloud platforms or cloud-native application environments.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, or Grafana.
• Experience supporting applications in regulated, high-volume, retail, consumer, or enterprise environments.
