Join a dynamic community-focused team where you’ll help shape programs, gather product insights, and support vibrant online spaces. This contract role offers the opportunity to build scalable community operations, strengthen member engagement, and partner cross-functionally to turn feedback into action.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations for community programs, including applications, onboarding, communications, engagement, and recognition.
- Build and improve workflows, tools, automation, and documentation that help community programs scale effectively.
- Develop strong relationships with community members and serve as a connector between members and internal teams.
- Run structured product feedback activities such as surveys, discussion threads, live sessions, and small group testing.
- Recruit and match participants for feedback opportunities based on defined criteria.
- Synthesize qualitative feedback into clear summaries and share actionable insights with product and research teams.
- Support community spaces such as Discord and Reddit through moderation, engagement, and observation of key conversations and sentiment.
- Identify opportunities to improve program operations, participation, and outcomes.
Skills
- Experience in community program management, community operations, or developer relations.
- Background supporting a developer community or an enterprise/B2B customer community.
- Ability to create and maintain operational systems such as intake processes, member tracking, and documentation.
- Experience running feedback, beta, or user testing programs with external participants.
- Experience moderating or managing online communities on platforms such as Discord, Reddit, Slack, or forums.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to summarize qualitative input clearly.
- Hands-on familiarity with moderation tools, survey or form tools, spreadsheets, or lightweight databases.
- Comfort working in ambiguity and building structure where needed.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with developer and enterprise community programs.
- Previous work with product, research, or marketing teams.
- Familiarity with confidential or early-access program management.
- Technical fluency with Claude or similar tools.
- Experience building community programs from early stages through growth.
- Background with well-known technology companies.
- Ability to work on a flexible onsite schedule in San Francisco or remotely within the preferred time zones.
