Join our innovative team as a Data Engineer and play a crucial role in transforming complex release and quality data into actionable insights that drive quality decisions. This exciting opportunity is based in Foster City, CA, where you'll leverage your technical expertise to build and maintain vital dashboards, develop scalable ETL pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams committed to excellence and inclusivity.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying, aggregation, and modeling
- Skilled in Python, including Pandas and PySpark, for ETL processes and data transformation
- Hands-on experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or QuickSight to craft insightful dashboards
- Ability to model release and version data for effective longitudinal analysis
- Fundamental knowledge of statistics, exploratory data analysis, and notebook-based analytics
- Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Athena, or Redshift
- Experience using Git for version control and collaboration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for clarity and teamwork
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow or similar scheduling platforms
- Practical use of AI tools (Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT) to enhance productivity
- Exposure to QA, release management, or software quality metrics, adding context to data insights
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Prior experience in data engineering roles, ideally within software development or quality assurance environments
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work onsite in Foster City, CA five days a week
- Successful completion of background and drug screening upon offer
