Join a dynamic digital team as an Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer supporting enterprise-scale web experiences in a hybrid Boston-based role. This position focuses on building scalable, high-performing AEM solutions that improve content delivery, authoring workflows, and digital experience performance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain AEM applications and websites that support enterprise digital experiences
- Build reusable components, templates, dialogs, workflows, and content models to improve authoring and delivery
- Develop and customize Core Components using HTL, Sling Models, and OSGi services
- Create and maintain Content Fragments and Experience Fragments for omnichannel content delivery
- Develop custom Sling Servlets, workflow processes, event handlers, and scheduler jobs
- Support AEM environments including Author, Publish, Dispatcher, and CDN setups
- Integrate AEM with third-party systems, REST APIs, DAM platforms, analytics tools, and Adobe Experience Cloud products
- Assist with content migration, multisite management, localization, and translation workflows
- Optimize solutions for performance, accessibility, scalability, and SEO
- Collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, UX teams, and content authors to deliver effective digital experiences
- Troubleshoot production issues and support root cause analysis when needed
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and CI/CD deployment processes
- Maintain clear technical documentation and follow development best practices
Skills
- 5+ years of experience architecting and implementing Adobe solutions
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Java EE, Servlets, HTL/Sightly, and enterprise Java frameworks such as Spring
- Deep understanding of Apache Sling, JCR, JSR-170/JSR-283, JSR-168/JSR-286, and Apache Felix/OSGi development
- Solid AEM foundation, including templates, components, dialogs, widgets, and the development and deployment process
- Experience with content-centric application development and content publishing workflows
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Adobe Campaign, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Experience Platform, or Adobe Journey Optimizer
- Experience migrating AEM from on-premises environments to AEM as a Cloud Service
- Knowledge of Dispatcher configuration, caching strategies, and CDN integration
- Experience with headless CMS implementations
- Exposure to React, Angular, or other modern JavaScript frameworks
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Adobe Cloud
- Adobe certifications such as Adobe Certified Professional or Adobe Certified Expert
- Experience using AI coding tools to support AEM component or Sling Model development, with a focus on testing and code quality
- Awareness of secure and responsible practices when using AI tools with proprietary code
