Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and support multiple medium-to-large, cross-functional initiatives in a complex enterprise environment.
This individual will take primary responsibility for planning, coordinating, tracking, and delivering projects throughout the full project lifecycle—from initiation and planning through execution, implementation, and handoff.

The Senior Project Manager will work across product, technology, operations, business, and other stakeholder groups to ensure projects remain aligned, risks and dependencies are actively managed, and commitments are delivered on time and within budget. This role requires a strong combination of project leadership, Agile delivery experience, organizational discipline, stakeholder management, and hands-on execution.

The ideal candidate is comfortable operating independently, managing multiple workstreams simultaneously, and bringing structure and momentum to complex initiatives with moderate to high levels of risk, dependency, and organizational visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide day-to-day project management across multiple initiatives and workstreams.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Track and proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and action items.
  • Coordinate activities across product, technical, operational, business, vendor, and leadership teams.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within established budgets, and in alignment with organizational project management standards.
  • Prepare and communicate project status reports, dashboards, executive updates, and other project communications.
  • Facilitate project meetings, planning sessions, decision-making discussions, and conflict resolution.
  • Identify project blockers and dependencies and drive appropriate resolution or escalation.
  • Support change management, implementation planning, and operational readiness activities.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and accessible project documentation.
  • Manage multiple priorities and workstreams while maintaining visibility into the broader program strategy and objectives.
  • Build strong relationships across a matrixed organization and drive accountability for commitments and deliverables.
  • Support budget development, forecasting, tracking, and adherence to established financial guidelines.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors when applicable.
  • Agile & Delivery Leadership
  • Apply Agile methodologies and practices to support effective project and product delivery.
  • Facilitate or support Scrum ceremonies, planning sessions, backlog refinement, and delivery tracking.
  • Guide teams in the adoption and consistent application of Agile practices and values.
  • Partner closely with Product Owners to develop, prioritize, and refine backlogs.
  • Identify and remove impediments or help teams determine the appropriate path to resolution.
  • Assess team delivery maturity and coach teams toward improved Agile practices and sustainable execution.
  • Create an environment where risks, challenges, and delivery concerns can be raised and addressed openly.
  • Facilitate collaborative decision-making and conflict resolution without relying on command-and-control management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve team efficiency, delivery quality, predictability, and timeliness.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience in project management and related business activities, or a Master's degree with 4+ years of project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing medium-to-large, cross-functional projects or programs.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and the full project lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile delivery methodologies and Jira.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects, initiatives, or workstreams.
  • Strong project planning, risk management, dependency management, and delivery tracking capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across business, product, technology, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate complex discussions, drive decisions, and resolve conflicts.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand strategic objectives while maintaining attention to execution details.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision and some ambiguity.
  • Experience working within complex, matrixed enterprise organizations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting large-scale healthcare, healthcare technology, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working with product-oriented teams or digital/product portfolios.
  • Experience within a large, highly matrixed healthcare organization.
  • Experience supporting senior program or portfolio leadership across multiple interconnected workstreams.
  • Experience with project budgeting, financial tracking, vendors, and resource management.
  • PMP or related project management certification.
  • Scrum or Agile certification.

Preferred Certifications
Relevant certifications may include:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
  • Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM)
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
  • Certified Scrum Professional (CSP)
