We’re looking for a versatile Data Engineer with strong Alteryx expertise to help design, build, and support analytics automation and data integration solutions in a collaborative, cloud-based environment. This role offers the opportunity to work across ETL pipelines, system integrations, and operational support for reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analytics.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Alteryx workflows, applications, and macros
- Build ETL and ELT processes that support analytics, reporting, forecasting, and financial operations
- Develop and support integrations with platforms such as Workday, Adaptive Insights, Tableau, PostgreSQL, and REST APIs
- Implement secure authentication, error handling, and monitoring for data and system integrations
- Support Alteryx Server environments across development, testing, and production
- Work with cloud services and infrastructure components to help scale and maintain data solutions
- Support forecasting, budgeting, cost allocation, and related financial workflows with accurate and reliable data
- Troubleshoot workflow failures, data quality issues, and production incidents
- Perform unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing
- Create and maintain documentation such as SOPs, architecture diagrams, implementation guides, and troubleshooting playbooks
- Support access management, security practices, and governance standards
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with cross-functional team members
- Contribute to platform releases, upgrades, change management, and continuous improvement efforts
Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Alteryx Designer, including workflows, macros, and automation
- Experience with Alteryx Server, including scheduling, permissions, and monitoring
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience working with REST APIs and integration patterns
- Solid understanding of ETL, data modeling, data warehousing, and data quality practices
- Experience supporting cloud-based data solutions
- Ability to work in a collaborative Agile environment
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Preferred Skills
- Alteryx Designer certification
- Experience with Workday, Adaptive Insights, Tableau, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Git or Jenkins
- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Glue, Aurora, S3, EC2, or RDS
- Background in cost modeling, financial analytics, budgeting, or forecasting support
- Experience with release management, environment upgrades, or structured change control
- Familiarity with data governance, metadata, and lineage documentation
