Responsibilities
- Support the migration of Active Directory and DNS workloads from on-premises environments to AWS.
- Help design and build a new AWS landing zone, including organizational structure, preventative controls, and account migration into a new OU model.
- Implement and troubleshoot AWS Organizations, Service Control Policies, IAM roles and policies, and related governance controls.
- Contribute to AWS Directory Service, Route 53, Control Tower, and other foundational cloud services used in hybrid environments.
- Assist with hybrid connectivity and networking patterns that connect on-premises systems to AWS.
- Create clear technical documentation such as design documents, runbooks, validation evidence, and architecture decision records.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, operations, and delivery stakeholders to ensure solutions meet technical risk and audit expectations.
- Support automation and infrastructure-as-code efforts for repeatable cloud deployment and migration activities.
- Work in a regulated environment with attention to change control, operational resilience, and compliance requirements.
Skills
- Strong AWS DevOps experience with hands-on delivery in cloud migration and infrastructure modernization.
- Experience migrating Microsoft infrastructure components such as Active Directory and DNS to AWS.
- Working knowledge of AWS Directory Service, Route 53, AWS Organizations, IAM, and Control Tower.
- Experience designing and implementing Service Control Policies and other preventative governance controls.
- Understanding of hybrid cloud networking, including connectivity and DNS resolution between on-premises and AWS.
- Ability to produce technical documentation for architecture, implementation, testing, and audit review.
- Background working in a regulated enterprise environment, ideally within financial services.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple technical and business teams.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Familiarity with AWS security and compliance services such as CloudTrail, AWS Config, and Security Hub.
Preferred Skills
- AWS certification such as Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer.
- Experience with AWS migration tools and strategies.
- Knowledge of regulated financial services delivery practices and audit readiness expectations.
- Exposure to multi-account governance and landing zone design best practices.
- Experience with operational resilience concepts such as RTO, RPO, and disaster recovery planning.
- Familiarity with additional automation and scripting tools used to streamline cloud operations.
