Join a dynamic engineering team supporting production machine learning pipelines that power inventory and workload insights for store operations. This role offers the opportunity to work in a cloud-native environment, strengthen pipeline reliability, and contribute to meaningful improvements in observability, monitoring, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain production ML pipelines that deliver inventory and workload insights
- Monitor daily workflows and troubleshoot issues to help ensure reliability and SLA adherence
- Improve the stability, performance, and observability of existing pipelines
- Develop and enhance monitoring and alerting solutions using cloud-native tools and custom instrumentation
- Work within a GCP and Vertex AI environment to support pipeline operations and improvements
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and operations partners to resolve issues and implement enhancements
- Contribute to code changes and operational improvements using GitHub workflows and team standards
Skills
- Strong Python programming skills
- Working knowledge of PySpark
- Hands-on experience with GCP services, including Vertex AI, BigQuery, Kubeflow Pipelines, and Cloud Monitoring
- Familiarity with ML workflow orchestration tools such as KFP, Airflow, or similar platforms
- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting jobs in distributed cloud environments
- Understanding of observability practices, including OTEL and custom metrics instrumentation
- Experience working with GitHub workflows, including pull requests, branching, and code reviews
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with close attention to detail
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset

- Experience balancing operational support with targeted development work
- Background in improving production pipeline reliability and performance
- Ability to proactively identify opportunities for process or system improvements
- Comfort working in cross-functional environments with technical and operational partners
