JOB DESCRIPTION

Join a high-visibility enterprise content platform operations initiative focused on modernizing how digital platforms are deployed, monitored, supported, and maintained. This remote DevOps/Automation Engineer role offers the opportunity to reduce operational toil, improve release reliability, and help shape a more standardized and automated engineering operating model.

Responsibilities

  • Build, improve, and standardize CI/CD pipelines across multiple enterprise platforms and applications.
  • Modernize deployment and release workflows across content platforms and related digital applications.
  • Develop automation with tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD platforms.
  • Write scripts and automation in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or comparable languages to reduce manual effort.
  • Strengthen release reliability through validation, deployment controls, rollback support, and repeatable processes.
  • Identify recurring operational tasks and create tooling or automation to eliminate repetitive work.
  • Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, and observability across applications and infrastructure.
  • Help reduce alert fatigue by refining monitoring rules and making alerts more actionable.
  • Support production incidents and convert repeated issues into long-term engineering solutions.
  • Automate certificate, secret, credential, service account, and configuration management processes where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, platform, and application teams to improve reliability and supportability.
  • Create clear documentation, runbooks, deployment standards, and operational best practices.

Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, Release Engineering, or Automation Engineering.
  • Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub/GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Experience with automated application and infrastructure deployments.
  • Solid understanding of Git-based development and release workflows.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability tools and practices.
  • Experience troubleshooting production issues and release or deployment failures.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as GCP and/or Azure.
  • Ability to identify repetitive operational processes and turn them into efficient automation.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Background supporting AEM, Sitecore, CMS, or digital experience platforms.
  • Experience supporting React applications and APIs.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of SRE practices such as reliability engineering, SLIs/SLOs, incident management, and toil reduction.
