Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize back-end services and REST APIs that support API-driven applications.
• Develop microservices using JVM-based technologies, with a strong focus on Java and Spring Boot.
• Integrate back-end systems with external platforms and internal data workflows.
• Support data collaboration solutions by working with Google BigQuery, GCP services, and Hadoop-based environments.
• Partner with data engineering, data science, and product teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot issues in distributed systems and help improve reliability, maintainability, and performance.
• Contribute to secure coding practices, technical documentation, and software development lifecycle best practices.

Skills

• Strong experience in Java development and Spring Boot.
• Background building and maintaining microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and MongoDB.
• Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery.
• Understanding of NoSQL data modeling and large-scale data management.
• Experience supporting distributed systems and modern back-end frameworks.
• Familiarity with GenAI tools.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in data-intensive or platform engineering environments.
• Exposure to Hadoop ecosystems and cloud-based data integrations.
