We are seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to help strengthen and modernize public cloud security across GCP, Azure, and AWS. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape secure cloud deployment patterns, advance policy-as-code practices, and support enterprise CSPM efforts in a collaborative, security-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and publish secure cloud architecture standards and reference patterns for common deployments across public cloud environments
- Build reusable Terraform modules and automation to help engineering teams adopt secure-by-default practices
- Design, test, and maintain policy-as-code libraries to automate cloud security controls and compliance
- Support the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing improvement of CSPM capabilities, with a strong focus on Wiz
- Partner with cloud, infrastructure, and security teams to identify risks and drive remediation efforts
- Create scalable automation and security controls that improve governance and reduce operational risk
- Contribute to secure cloud remediation strategies while minimizing disruption to existing environments
Skills
- Current Google Cloud Professional certification
- 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Google Cloud Platform in enterprise environments
- 3+ years of production Terraform development experience in complex environments
- Proven experience writing and maintaining policy-as-code using Open Policy Agent (OPA)
- Experience building reusable policy libraries
- Hands-on experience with Wiz for cloud security posture management and remediation
- Strong scripting and automation skills with Python, Bash, or similar languages
- Solid understanding of cloud and on-premises networking, IAM, compute, storage, databases, and SDN
- Ability to analyze technical issues, work independently, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting Azure and/or AWS environments
- Familiarity with GitHub, GitHub Actions, or Atlantis
- Background combining infrastructure engineering and cloud security
- Experience evaluating or implementing enterprise cloud security tools and automation frameworks
- Comfort working in Agile environments and collaborating across multiple teams
