Join a dynamic team driving data innovation across supply chain, transportation, and warehouse management initiatives. This remote Data Engineer role offers the opportunity to build scalable cloud-based data solutions that support analytics and AI use cases in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop and optimize data solutions using Dataproc, BigQuery, SQL, and dbt.
- Create and support reliable data models that enable reporting, analytics, and AI initiatives.
- Ingest, transform, validate, and publish data from multiple enterprise systems.
- Partner with product managers, analysts, architects, and engineers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across data processing workflows.
- Perform testing, data validation, and production support to help maintain high data quality.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and technical documentation.
Skills
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering or a closely related field.
- Hands-on experience developing data solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong working knowledge of Dataproc, BigQuery, SQL, and dbt.
- Experience building scalable data pipelines and working with large datasets.
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, including dimensional modeling and data warehouse design.
- Familiarity with Git-based version control and CI/CD practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
- Exposure to Apache Kafka or other event streaming platforms.
- Working knowledge of PySpark for distributed data processing.
- Python experience for automation, scripting, or data engineering tasks.
- Understanding of data quality, metadata management, and data governance practices.
- Experience supporting retail, supply chain, transportation, logistics, or warehouse management data environments.
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative Agile setting.
