Join a dynamic enterprise data team as a Senior Data Engineer supporting large-scale healthcare data solutions in a highly collaborative environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful data warehousing and integration initiatives using modern Microsoft Azure technologies, Snowflake, and healthcare data standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support data pipelines and ETL solutions for complex healthcare data environments.
- Develop and maintain solutions using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Informatica PowerCenter, SSIS, and similar tools.
- Work with relational databases and write stored procedures to support efficient data processing and transformation.
- Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications for ETL and data warehouse solutions.
- Process both structured and unstructured data while maintaining data quality, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with data, analytics, and governance partners to support enterprise information management efforts.
- Troubleshoot issues, optimize pipelines, and adapt solutions as business needs and technologies evolve.
- Contribute to work involving healthcare data formats and standards such as HL7 and FHIR.
Skills
- 8+ years of data engineering experience with a strong focus on data warehousing.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
- 5+ years of ETL development experience using tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or similar platforms.
- 5+ years of experience with relational databases such as Oracle, Snowflake, or SQL Server.
- 5+ years of experience writing stored procedures using Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Server T-SQL, or Snowflake SQL.
- 3+ years of experience with Python scripting.
- 3+ years of experience using source control tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, or SVN.
- Experience analyzing project requirements and creating detailed technical specifications.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, Business, or a related field.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with batch scripting or PowerShell.
- Data modeling experience in a data warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with Spark and Azure Data Fabric.
- Experience designing and building APIs in Snowflake and Azure Data Factory, including REST or RPC approaches.
- Background in healthcare data, especially Medicaid or Medicare-related applications.
- Azure certifications related to data engineering or data analytics.
