JOB DESCRIPTION

Join a fast-paced environmental, health, and safety team supporting facilities operations, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for an EHS professional who enjoys building practical programs, partnering across teams, and helping create a safer workplace through strong systems, training, and data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Support EHS initiatives that strengthen safety culture and reduce incidents and compliance risks.
  • Help ensure facilities meet applicable local, state, and federal environmental and safety requirements.
  • Develop and improve safety policies, procedures, and training materials that are easy to understand and apply.
  • Partner with leaders and team members to support risk management, facility safety, incident response, injury reporting, and workers’ compensation processes.
  • Investigate incidents and participate in follow-up actions to help prevent recurrence.
  • Create and deliver EHS training to support awareness, understanding, and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate EHS records and use data and trends to inform decisions and improvements.
  • Conduct routine documentation reviews, hazard assessments, and safety audits.
  • Support chemical safety activities, including inventory management and review of new chemicals.
  • Characterize and classify waste streams in alignment with RCRA requirements.
  • Assist with Satellite Accumulation Area management and hazardous waste manifest review and signatures.
  • Maintain waste management documentation and support preparation of environmental regulatory reports.

Skills

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in environmental, health, and safety programs.
  • Experience developing, launching, or maintaining effective EHS programs.
  • Strong understanding of EPA RCRA requirements, including waste identification, generator status, and container management.
  • Working knowledge of DOT 49 CFR requirements related to hazardous materials shipping, including labeling, placarding, and packaging.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner across all levels of an organization.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and EHS management systems or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with local, regional, and national regulatory compliance requirements.

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related technical field.
  • Industry-recognized occupational health and safety certifications.
