Bring your quality expertise to a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you’ll help ensure products released to service meet design intent, performance expectations, and documentation requirements. This fully onsite role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality, and fleet operations to strengthen quality processes and drive meaningful continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Track quality issues, coordinate containment actions, and support root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconformances found during production audits and vehicle release activities.
- Assist with diagnosing noise, vibration, and harshness concerns identified during quality audits and release processes, including helping define inspection methods and required tools.
- Lead and support continuous improvement efforts that make production quality audits, release processes, and issue resolution more effective and efficient.
- Partner with supplier quality, manufacturing, and vehicle development teams to resolve systemic product and process issues.
- Support the development and review of PFMEA and control plans to help strengthen risk mitigation across critical manufacturing processes.
- Communicate technical findings clearly and drive issues through to closure with the right stakeholders.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive, aviation, or contract manufacturing.
- Strong background in advanced problem-solving methodologies such as Shainin Red X or Six Sigma.
- Demonstrated ability to improve quality across the value stream through structured, data-driven problem solving.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, negotiation, interpersonal, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier environments.
- Familiarity with quality management and ERP systems such as SAP, MES, or JIRA for data analysis and reporting.
- ASQ certification, such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Black Belt.
- Hands-on experience supporting quality audits, process improvement, and documentation control.
