Join a collaborative software quality team focused on improving release reliability, testing efficiency, and overall developer experience. This onsite QA Release Engineer role supports the delivery of high-quality vehicle software by partnering closely with engineering teams to identify risks, validate fixes, and help move releases forward with confidence.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automated testing across functional, regression, integration, and performance scenarios
- Review developer pull requests and help validate changes before they move through the release process
- Triage system-flagged scenarios and support first-pass review activities
- Identify, document, and track defects and regressions in a clear and organized manner
- Partner with developers, product teams, and designers to surface risk and resolve issues efficiently
- Support merge workflows and release-related infrastructure activities, including pipedream jobs and related validation steps
- Conduct root cause analysis on defects and re-test fixes to confirm issues are resolved without introducing new regressions
- Help improve QA workflows and release processes to reduce inefficiencies and increase developer velocity
- Prepare concise test updates and status reports that communicate progress, risks, and blockers
Skills
- Experience in QA, software testing, or a similar quality-focused role
- Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing methods
- Strong understanding of testing types such as functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Familiarity with issue tracking and project management tools such as Jira
- Ability to analyze technical changes and assess potential impact or risk
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Preferred Skills
- Experience with test management tools such as TestRail or similar platforms
- Exposure to release validation or software delivery workflows
- Comfort working cross-functionally to improve processes and support team-wide efficiency
- Detail-oriented approach to testing, documentation, and follow-through
