We’re seeking an experienced Jamf Pro specialist to help build a modern, cloud-based Mac management environment supporting approximately 300 macOS devices. This 2+ month contract offers the opportunity to shape an end-to-end endpoint management solution that includes zero-touch enrollment, identity integration, software deployment, patching, and documentation for a smooth handoff.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a new Jamf Pro environment to support provisioning, configuration, compliance, software deployment, patching, and lifecycle management for macOS devices.
- Build a cloud-based solution with zero-touch enrollment and integration with Apple Business Manager for Automated Device Enrollment and Volume Purchase Program workflows.
- Configure Jamf Connect to support macOS account creation, password synchronization, and multifactor authentication through Entra ID.
- Set up single sign-on access for the Jamf Pro console using Entra ID, along with a local break-glass account for administrative access.
- Create API roles and integrations to support ServiceNow and other connected systems.
- Develop and deploy configuration profiles, including security baselines, PPPC, Wi-Fi, and certificate profiles.
- Package and distribute software through required deployment and self-service channels using app store, package, app, and script-based methods.
- Deploy and support standard applications such as CrowdStrike, Qualys, Nexthink, Zscaler, Office/Teams, and Chrome.
- Implement OS patching processes and best practices for ongoing macOS maintenance.
- Document the environment clearly to support turnover to an MSP.
Skills
- Expert-level experience with Jamf Pro implementation.
- Strong macOS administration and endpoint management knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with Apple Business Manager, ADE, and VPP.
- Experience integrating Jamf Connect with Entra ID.
- Understanding of SSO configuration, access control, and administrative account setup.
- Ability to manage software packaging, deployment, and self-service workflows.
- Experience configuring security settings, PPPC, Wi-Fi, and certificate profiles.
- Ability to document technical environments thoroughly and clearly.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting large-scale macOS environments.
- Familiarity with integrations involving ServiceNow and other enterprise tools.
- Knowledge of enterprise security and compliance tooling.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a contract environment and deliver a complete handoff package.
