Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced UX Product Designer to support the Digital Product Organization by partnering with product designers, engineers, and accessibility leadership to ensure digital products meet WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards. This consultant will support four of seven product pods, conducting accessibility design reviews, manual testing, implementation validation, and documentation while helping drive consistent accessibility practices across multiple product teams.
Reporting to the Lead Accessibility Designer, this individual will work within established accessibility processes and standards to identify accessibility issues early in the design and development lifecycle, helping teams deliver inclusive digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with product designers and engineers to review designs, user experiences, and implementations for WCAG 2.2 AA compliance.
- Perform comprehensive manual accessibility testing across web and mobile experiences using industry-standard assistive technologies.
- Review Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) implementations, components, and authored content for accessibility compliance.
- Identify accessibility issues, document findings, prioritize defects, and partner with engineering teams through remediation.
- Conduct accessibility validation throughout the design, development, and QA lifecycle.
- Collaborate across multiple Agile product teams while balancing priorities and managing work independently.
- Use Figma to review designs, provide accessibility feedback, and annotate recommendations.
- Track accessibility defects, recommendations, and remediation efforts using Jira.
- Ensure accessibility standards and best practices are consistently applied across multiple product pods.
- Contribute to accessibility documentation, audit reports, and established review processes.
- Partner with the Lead Accessibility Designer to support accessibility governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in digital accessibility, UX accessibility, or accessibility consulting.
- Strong expertise with WCAG 2.2 AA guidelines and accessibility best practices.
- Experience reviewing both designs and implemented code for accessibility compliance.
- Hands-on experience performing manual accessibility testing using:
- JAWS (Windows)
- NVDA (Windows)
- VoiceOver (iOS)
- TalkBack (Android)
- Experience supporting accessibility within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including:
- Component-level authoring
- Content review
- Accessibility validation
- Experience reviewing and annotating designs using Figma.
- Experience using Jira for accessibility defect tracking and workflow management.
- Strong documentation skills with experience recording accessibility findings and remediation recommendations.
- Ability to manage work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple product teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the ARIA Authoring Practices Guide (APG).
- Experience leveraging AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, Claude, or similar to improve accessibility reviews, documentation, or workflow automation.
- Experience applying accessibility standards within enterprise design systems.
- Experience working with additional CMS platforms including:
- Sitecore
- Contentful
- Drupal
- Experience contributing to Adobe Experience Manager component libraries.
- Experience training content authors on accessible authoring best practices.
- Experience developing or contributing to accessibility standards, playbooks, governance documentation, or internal best practices.
