Join a dynamic design team supporting seasonal women’s apparel development in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. This onsite contract role offers the opportunity to shape product from concept through execution while partnering closely with cross-functional teams to bring compelling designs to life.
Responsibilities
- Research global market trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, and competitive inspiration to inform seasonal concepts.
- Develop sketches and design ideas that support the seasonal product line and present concepts to internal partners.
- Collaborate with merchandising, production, technical design, sourcing, visual merchandising, and marketing to support seamless product execution.
- Work with production teams to build tech packs and clearly communicate design intent, fit, and quality expectations.
- Participate in fit sessions, review feedback, and revise sketches and design packages based on priorities.
- Create and manage presentation boards and other design materials to keep projects organized and on schedule.
- Balance multiple seasons and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Identify inconsistencies in data or results and take action to support strong outcomes.
Skills
- Experience in apparel design, preferably with women’s woven tops or similar product categories.
- Strong understanding of silhouette, fit, construction, fabrication, color, trims, and sewing techniques.
- Ability to translate trends into commercially relevant product concepts.
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Detail-oriented mindset and the ability to adapt in a fast-moving environment.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience creating tech packs and supporting product development from concept to production.
- Experience presenting design concepts to leadership or other stakeholders.
- Background in a retail or apparel environment with exposure to seasonal product cycles.
- Comfort working onsite and contributing to a highly collaborative team culture.
