We’re looking for a Marketing Specialist to help create and optimize public-facing digital content that supports Medicaid expansion plans and OB3-related topics. This contract role offers the opportunity to simplify complex information for consumers and members while improving visibility across search, AI-powered search, and emerging digital channels.
Responsibilities
- Develop content strategies and digital assets focused on Medicaid expansion, eligibility, renewals, work requirements, and related OB3 topics.
- Create and refine website content, FAQs, articles, educational resources, and thought leadership materials for public audiences.
- Optimize content for SEO, answer engine optimization, and generative engine optimization to improve discoverability and engagement.
- Translate complex regulatory and contractual information into clear, consumer-friendly messaging.
- Collaborate with policy, compliance, legal, digital, analytics, and member experience partners to ensure content is accurate, compliant, and aligned to business goals.
- Monitor content performance and search trends, using insights to guide ongoing improvements.
- Support content governance, best practices, and standards for AI-enabled search experiences and evolving digital platforms.
Skills
- 3+ years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, communications, or a related field in a complex environment.
- Experience creating website, educational, or thought leadership content in healthcare, Medicaid, managed care, or another regulated industry.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices and content strategies that support organic visibility and engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Understanding of compliance and regulatory considerations for public-facing healthcare content.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Medicaid, managed care, or health plan marketing.
- Background creating content related to eligibility, enrollment, renewals, work requirements, or expansion populations.
- Familiarity with AEO, GEO, and AI-powered search experiences.
- Experience improving organic traffic, engagement, or search visibility through content optimization.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards, web content best practices, and user experience principles.
- Experience developing executive-level messaging or thought leadership content.
