Join a dynamic IT PMO team where you will help shape governance, standards, and knowledge resources that support consistent project delivery across the organization. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys building clear documentation, improving processes, and partnering with project leaders to strengthen PMO practices.
Responsibilities
- Support PMO governance and standards across IT project and portfolio activities
- Create, update, and maintain handbooks, playbooks, templates, job aids, and other process documentation
- Help manage stage-gate governance throughout project initiation, planning, execution, and closeout
- Develop and publish project artifacts and reference materials that promote consistency and clarity
- Review project documentation and data to help ensure alignment with PMO standards and quality expectations
- Provide guidance, onboarding support, and training to project managers on PMO processes, tools, and standards
- Facilitate recurring meetings with PMO leaders to track updates, issues, and improvement opportunities
- Support change management efforts that encourage adoption of PMO practices and tools
- Maintain PMO knowledge content in collaboration platforms and document repositories
- Track action items and follow-ups from governance and project review sessions
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution, completed before the start date
- 5 to 8+ years of experience in IT PMO, project governance, project management methodology, process management, or a related field
- Strong writing, editing, and documentation skills
- Experience creating standards, procedures, templates, or other process support materials
- Background in improving structured business or project processes in a large enterprise environment
- Experience working with project managers, PMO leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to translate complex processes into clear, practical guidance
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to support governance, compliance, and project lifecycle standards
Preferred Skills
- PMP, PgMP, or another PMI-related certification
- Experience developing PMO playbooks, SOPs, training materials, or knowledge content
- Experience leading process standardization or continuous improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and project portfolio management tools such as Planview
- Experience conducting project audits, compliance reviews, or data quality checks
- Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
