JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support a cross-functional initiative focused on food traceability compliance. This remote opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating multiple workstreams, keeping projects on track, and partnering with internal teams and external vendors to drive meaningful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate vendor onboarding activities tied to food traceability compliance requirements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to help deliver project milestones and key deliverables on time.
  • Collect, review, and validate vendor documentation to support regulatory compliance.
  • Communicate feedback clearly to vendors regarding missing information, documentation gaps, or needed updates.
  • Track project progress, monitor risks or issues, and escalate concerns with recommended next steps when needed.
  • Use Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Smartsheet to manage project activity and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate status reports, communication materials, and project records.
  • Support several workstreams at once while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Skills

  • Knowledge of FSMA 204 regulation and food traceability requirements.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, and Smartsheet.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate work.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate tasks, manage priorities, and support multiple deadlines.
  • Organized approach to tracking information and following up on action items.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with EDI 856 data transmissions.
  • Understanding of GS1-128 barcodes and how they relate to compliance review.
  • Experience working with vendors or cross-functional teams in a project support role.
  • Comfort handling documentation-heavy workflows in a fast-paced environment.
