We are seeking an experienced IT Audit Contractor to join our team as an IT General Controls & Application Controls Specialist. This role offers a unique opportunity to support a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program within a fast-paced technology environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of key reports from audit evidence requests to testing completion.
- Coordinate Service Organization Controls (SOC) reviews, ensuring thorough evaluation of controls and mapping of user entity controls.
- Conduct IT General Controls (ITGC) and IT Application Controls (ITAC) testing across various domains.
- Validate key report logic and assess the completeness and accuracy of financial systems.
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate audit processes and reduce overall burden.
- Track and manage control deficiencies, ensuring timely remediation and closure.
- Maintain high-quality audit documentation in compliance with internal and external standards.
- Engage in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the SOX program.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in IT audit, with a strong foundation in SOX ITGC and ITAC testing.
- Proven expertise in key report testing methodology within a SOX framework.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information clearly.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm or a public company's internal audit team.
- CISA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with AuditBoard or similar GRC platforms for documentation and reporting.
- Experience with process and data flow diagramming tools.
- Background in high-growth SaaS or technology environments.
