We are seeking a skilled IBMi Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support and enhance our enterprise IBMi environment while working collaboratively with a dedicated team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain IBMi systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Perform system health checks, job monitoring, and subsystem management.
• Apply updates, firmware, and OS upgrades following change management processes.
• Manage user profiles, system security, and resource allocation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IBMi hardware and software.
• Enhance backup and disaster recovery processes using established tools.
• Participate in on-call support rotation for after-hours assistance.

Skills

• 3-5+ years of experience in supporting IBMi / AS/400 / iSeries environments.
• Strong knowledge of OS/400, CL commands, and system administration.
• Proficiency in system operations, job scheduling, and monitoring.
• Ability to troubleshoot performance and operational issues independently.
• Excellent documentation skills and familiarity with change management processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with enterprise backup solutions and storage systems.
• Knowledge of HA/DR solutions and automation tools.
• Familiarity with network concepts related to IBMi.
• Understanding of IBMi security and user provisioning.
