Join our team as an Azure AKS / Apigee Platform Engineer, where you'll be instrumental in developing and maintaining a state-of-the-art multi-cloud API platform. This role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with skilled professionals to deliver secure and scalable digital services.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Azure Kubernetes Service environments and associated cloud infrastructure.
- Configure and manage Apigee Hybrid runtimes, ensuring smooth integration with Google Cloud-hosted control planes.
- Oversee multi-cloud infrastructure using consistent Infrastructure as Code practices across various environments.
- Implement robust cloud networking, identity management, and security controls.
- Integrate edge security and traffic management platforms to enhance API security and performance.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient infrastructure and platform deployments.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues and facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Support governance, compliance, and approval processes in regulated environments.
Skills
- Extensive experience in Infrastructure, Cloud, or Platform Engineering.
- Proven expertise in Kubernetes administration, particularly with Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Strong background in managing Kubernetes clusters, node pools, namespaces, and RBAC.
- Proficiency in Azure cloud services, including networking and IAM/RBAC.
- Hands-on experience with API gateway technologies and edge security platforms.
- Expertise in Terraform and CI/CD pipeline development.
- Strong automation mindset to enhance platform reliability and reduce manual processes.
- Understanding of Zero-Trust security principles and cloud security best practices.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with enterprise Kubernetes platforms like GKE or OpenShift.
- Background in supporting healthcare or other highly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies and API observability solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud-native networking and hybrid cloud architectures.
