Join our team as an Infrastructure Platform Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in managing and automating server operating systems across diverse environments. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the security and efficiency of our infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Engineer and support standardized server operating systems in both cloud and on-premises settings.
- Create and maintain server images using automation tools to ensure compliance and security.
- Implement OS configuration management practices and automate patch management processes.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code to streamline server provisioning and management.
- Assist in managing cloud platform services and landing zones within AWS and Azure.
- Oversee centralized file share services, ensuring secure and efficient operations.
- Integrate automation with IT service management tools to enhance workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve platform reliability and security.
Skills
- Proven experience in server platform engineering and infrastructure automation.
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational excellence.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud infrastructure services, particularly AWS and Azure.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow and ITSM workflows.
- Understanding of monitoring, logging, and disaster recovery concepts.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a commitment to automation and standardization.
