We are seeking a talented and experienced Sr. Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on building automation tools that enhance infrastructure management and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Implement infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform to streamline processes.
- Manage configuration management through Chef, ensuring efficient operations.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipeline processes to support development workflows.
- Define best practices for cloud security, monitoring, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and troubleshoot cloud solutions.
- Stay updated with AWS services and industry trends to recommend improvements.
- Provide on-call support for escalations and incidents as needed.
Skills
- 10+ years of experience as a System Engineer, Platform Engineer, or DevOps Engineer with a focus on platform automation.
- 5+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- 5+ years of experience in building CI/CD pipelines using DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and scalability concepts in cloud environments.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in building Internal Developer Platforms.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Node.js, or Java.
- Knowledge of container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of agile methodologies and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Solution Architect) is a plus.
