Join our team as a Data Governance Enablement Analyst and play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing data governance processes within a fully remote setting. This position offers the opportunity to drive the implementation and adoption of enterprise data governance practices.
Responsibilities
- Implement and promote enterprise data governance and stewardship practices.
- Ensure alignment of data catalog assets with established standards for business terms, metadata, and data quality.
- Assist data owners in capturing business terms and mapping them to physical data assets.
- Enhance user engagement with the data catalog, focusing on discovery and data quality management processes.
- Create and deliver onboarding content to foster data literacy across the organization.
- Coordinate with teams to track and resolve data quality issues and uphold data quality standards.
- Manage data catalog content, certification labels, and metadata imports from legacy systems.
- Document and validate data lineage to ensure comprehensive coverage of critical data elements.
Skills
- 3 to 5 years of experience in data governance, data catalog implementation, or related fields.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Hands-on experience managing data catalog assets and processes using relevant tools.
- Understanding of modern data architectures, including cloud data warehouses and BI tools.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with specific data catalog applications such as Atlan, Collibra, or Informatica.
- Familiarity with data quality tools and practices.
- Exposure to programming languages and metadata automation.
- Knowledge of privacy and regulatory concepts related to data management.
