We are seeking an International Payroll Senior Manager who will play a crucial role in overseeing payroll operations across multiple global jurisdictions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead strategic initiatives and ensure compliance while enhancing the employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement global payroll strategies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local labor laws and tax regulations.
- Manage relationships with global service providers to optimize payroll processes and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll cycle, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for thousands of employees.
- Collaborate with HR to streamline new hire processes, terminations, and leaves of absence.
- Lead internal and external audits, maintaining "audit-ready" payroll records at all times.
- Provide mentorship and development opportunities for payroll team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stay informed about changes in labor laws to mitigate compliance risks and prevent legal disputes.
Skills
- Minimum of 12-15 years of payroll experience, including at least 5 years in a multinational environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources; CPP certification is a plus.
- Proficient knowledge of payroll, time and attendance systems, and HRIS.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to educate and manage change effectively.
- Analytical mindset with a proven ability to improve operational processes and deliver results.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Workday HCM and various Payroll Service Providers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive payroll projects to successful completion.
- Strong interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and teamwork within diverse groups.
- Ability to navigate complex payroll scenarios, including expatriate and shadow payrolls.
