Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst (TBA) to serve as the primary analysis and requirements lead for an MSS & Telecom Device Segmentation program. This role is responsible for documenting device populations, communication behaviors, dependencies, and validation criteria required to implement and sustain least privilege segmentation.
The ideal candidate will be technically fluent in networking and security concepts, able to translate complex discussions into clear, actionable requirements, and support execution through strong documentation and traceability. This is not a hands-on engineering role but requires close collaboration with engineering and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and document in-scope MSS and Telecom device populations, including attributes, ownership, and operational context
- Analyze and document required communication flows, dependencies, and operational use cases to support segmentation enforcement
- Translate technical discussions into clear segmentation requirements, enforcement criteria, and validation artifacts
- Support enforcement validation activities, ensuring correct segment placement and approved communication pathways using ServiceNow as the system of record
- Maintain traceability between device inventories, segmentation rules, enforcement status, and operational outcomes
- Develop and maintain standardized documentation, procedures, and workflows to enable repeatable enforcement and onboarding
- Partner closely with MSS, Telecom, Network Engineering, and Security teams to validate real-world behaviors and constraints
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–8+ years of experience as a Technical or Systems Business Analyst supporting infrastructure, networking, or security initiatives
- Working knowledge of core networking concepts, including IP networking, routing, firewalls, and segmentation
- Strong ability to synthesize complex technical information into clear, structured, and consumable documentation
- Experience gathering and documenting technical requirements, dependencies, and validation criteria
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and operational teams in a large enterprise environment
- Highly detail-oriented with strong process, documentation, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with network segmentation, access controls, or least privilege security models
- Familiarity with CMDB tools such as ServiceNow
- Experience supporting multiple device classes or complex technology domains
- Exposure to enterprise security frameworks such as Zero Trust
