Responsibilities

• Create and refine internal vocabularies for key clinical concepts and identifiers.
• Design and execute SQL scripts for vocabulary evaluation and updates.
• Contribute to the development of ontology models for internal vocabularies.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
• Manage the curation and loading of standard and custom terms in knowledge management systems.
• Develop clear guidelines for vocabulary maintenance processes and training protocols.
• Participate in relevant workgroups focused on registry, transplant, and vocabulary innovations.
• Generate reports on term usage and integration success, driving improvement recommendations.

Skills

• Strong background in developing and managing clinical vocabularies and internal terminology.
• Proficiency in SQL scripting for data evaluation and update tasks.
• Experience in ontology model development and knowledge management systems.
• Understanding of data privacy and security regulations, with a focus on compliance.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with OMOP standard vocabularies and clinical research terminology.
• Background in participating in industry workgroups focused on clinical data standardization.
• Ability to identify automation opportunities and implement process improvements.
