We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual for the role of IT-Associate Cybersecurity Analyst. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will play a key role in monitoring and responding to potential cybersecurity threats.
Responsibilities
- Monitor work queues for alerts related to network threats and intrusions.
- Assess alerts to determine their validity and scope, and identify necessary remediation steps.
- Confirm the accuracy of alerting information and identify malicious behaviors.
- Document all actions and evidence to support incident handling and potential forensics.
- Provide feedback to enhance detection engineering and improve alert fidelity.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and handoffs.
Skills
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate cybersecurity threats and alerts.
- Experience in cybersecurity event monitoring or analysis within a Security Operations Center setting.
- Effective documentation skills for triage details and recommendations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Skills
- Certification in cybersecurity (e.g., Security+, CCNA Cyber Ops, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience with SIEM, EDR, NDR, and email security tools.
- Knowledge of threat intelligence and incident response processes.
