When a global manufacturing company had a number of IT and creative positions to fill, Horizontal Talent stepped in to meet their needs. In 2013, we were selected to participate in this manufacturer’s Contingent Labor Program as Preferred Staffing Supplier.
In 2017, this manufacturer made Horizontal Talent their Exclusive Staffing Partner for the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). Since then, we’ve been sending them project coordinators, project managers, program managers, Agile coaches and change managers. Currently, we have over 140 active consultants working for this manufacturer in eight states. More than 60 of these consultants are working within the EPMO.
Their need
In 2013, this manufacturer wanted to employ user experience (UX) specialists in-house. With key projects in the pipeline and zero UX resources on-site, they needed help—fast. Other staffing suppliers struggling to understand the complexities of this manufacturer’s business, job requirements and unique culture.
In the face of major acquisitions and significant organic growth within the EPMO, this manufacturer needed a single-staffing vendor model that enabled them to scale up and down based on their peak demand phases and growing business.
Our solution
After connecting with the hiring manager, Horizontal Talent quickly delivered the UX support this manufacturer desperately needed. Our first placement turned into another. And another. Soon we were filling IT and creative roles across the organization. To manage this undertaking, we built a team of veteran recruiters and account directors to support the EPMO.
In addition, we procured a bench of over 200 qualified project and program managers, Scrum masters, Agile coaches, business and systems analysts, change managers, project coordinators and portfolio managers to help out with projects at a moment’s notice.
